The Destruction of the LA Wildfires
Between January 7th and January 31st, some of the most catastrophic wildfires in California history ruined thousands of residents’ livelihoods in Los Angeles and the surrounding regions. It has been estimated that over twenty-nine people have been killed and more than 12,000 structures, including houses, enterprises, and educational institutions have been burned down.
Heavy rain started on January 27th, which helped contain some of the fire, but created hazardous mud slides. Authorities advised all residents living in these areas to stay evacuated due to the mud slide’s dangerous nature. Community members must decide how to restore their communities to the beautiful area they call home.
