Portland Trailblazers Guard Damian Lillard Donates a New Sorento to a Local Charity

If you received Kia's "NBA Rookie of the Year," what would be your first action? This year's winner, Damian Lillard, donated the new Kia Sorento that he won with the award to a local charity called Lifeworks NM. This is pretty impressive of Lillard, this new Sorento will be utilized by Lifeworks NM's sister program Project Network.

Project Network was formed in 1989, this program aids women who are pregnant that have substance abuse issues. This charity predominantly serves African American women and their families. In total, the program serves 75 women and 150 infants and children each year, now this Sorento will serve as a valuable resource to everyone in Project Network.

The sister program that Lillard originally donated the Sorento to, LifeWorks NW, is a nonprofit agency based out of Portland, Oregon, that provides services to people dealing with mental health and addiction. In addition to adults, this program helps young adults and kids.
