2013 Kia Optima Out to Prove Price Alone Does Not Make a Great Car

The 2013 Kia Optima is on a mission. And it's a mission we here at Fort Wayne Kia think is one almost any consumer would support. The Optima is on a mission to prove that a vehicle does not have to be seriously expensive to be seriously well engineered and equipped.

In a recent survey by Cars.com, the flagship model was voted "Most Affordable Midsize Sedan" as compared to its competitor models. This award is even more confirmation that Kia is creating vehicles perfectly suited to the consumer segments they are targeting.

Vehicles that scored well in the survey had to feature automatic transmissions, Bluetooth connectivity, power seats, and other modern creature comforts. Along with these included features, the vehicles' estimated 5-year fuel costs were considered as well. The Kia Optima LX with the available Convenience Plus Package came in with the lowest price in the whole test at $23,225 and a fuel cost of $9,750.

The LX Convenience Package adds a number of features to the base model, including an automatically dimming rearview mirror, and an adjustable driver's seat which build off impressive standardly-included features like full-power accessories, 16-inch alloy wheels air conditioning and satellite radio.
